Orange Ya Glad To See Some Color?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "I'm a neutral girl."  Not neutral like Switzerland, rather, I'm partial to a neutral palette when it comes to my clothes.  It's a New York thing.  But, I certainly appreciate color and I go through little phases of loving a particular hue that speaks to me until I get bored with it and move on.  Story of my life!

I snapped this pic. of these cool vintage shades available at VEDA on the Lower East Side

Right now, I'm feeling orange.  Not fluorescent, safety orange, but something a little more sophisticated, a little softer and slightly more yellow than red.  Pumpkin... but a little more intense/saturated.  On one hand, it's a bit retro and on the other, it looks fresh.  Damn, I wish I had kept that leather skirt from high school... it would have been the perfect time to recycle it!

White Hot

I love this time of year because I can wear WHITE! Not that white is unacceptable any other time of the year (as I posted about recently), but I can wear summer white, which is a special kind of white. My wardrobe is pretty much black, white and shades of grey so I tend to wear black in the winter, white in the summer and grey in between. Rocket science, I know!

There is just something about white that makes me feel happy, new, and clean. I’ll wear white jeans, white T-shirts, white nail polish. I’ll buy white tulips, sleep on white fluffy pillows. White, white, fields of white… wait… wheat…it's fields of WHEAT.

"Wheat?  I'm dead and they're talking about wheat?"

Here’s what on the top of “Stacy’s Style List” right now…

What Would You Do?

Gucci

Like most women, I love to shop!  I never run out of things that I want; boots that I "need" even though I have more than enough, another chunky ring or cuff bracelet because they're "different" from the many I already own, a gorgeous, fine gauge sweater because the yarn and the workmanship are to die for, and I should know because I was a sweater designer... you get the picture.  I always wish I were independently wealthy and had unlimited funds!  But, what if I had, say... $10,000 to spend on one item?  It would actually be a difficult task.  I would probably choose one of the following, but I'm not sure which!  What would you do?

Gucci dress, Spring 2010: $9,600

Bottega Veneta oxidized silver moire 30th anniversary "knot" clutch: $7,960

Pasquale Fabrizio "glass slipper" stiletto: $7,500

Wendy Brandes 18K gold, citrine & pink sapphire ring: $10,000
