What's The 8th Picture In Your 8th Folder?

This must be a week of tags for me! I have just done a tag in my previous post and I am doing another one today!

No, I have not fallen in love with tags. That's ridiculous!

But I just got to do this one while I am still in the mood for tags. Cos this moment will not last forever. Haha!

So this is the 8th photo I found in my 8th photo folder.



It is a photo of the dragonfruit milk ice which I ate at FBI early this year. No, not the Federal Bureau Of Investigation! Haha! FBI is a dessert cafe located in SS15, Subang Jaya. It's just a few shoplots away from the more famous Snowflake opposite Asia Cafe car park.

FBI actually stands for Food, Beverage, Ice. It serves mainly shaved ice, ice blended and juices. What you see above are fresh pieces of dragonfruit on shaved ice topped with a scoop of corn flavoured ice cream. Simply refreshing!

This is the cafe's logo. Pretty cute, yes?



And a shot of the interior from where I sat. Yes, there's TV with Astro. Free wifi are also provided so you can enjoy your desserts while surfing the net!



By the way, the cafe looks empty because it was almost closing time.

It's self service here but I found the waiters very friendly.



I don't quite remember how much that dragonfruit milk ice cost me, but I think it's around RM8 not including taxes. Not a bad place to chillax but I doubt I will want to drive all the way to Subang just for this! Of course, if someone drives me there, that will be a different story. Haha!

Oh no!! I've been tagged!!

OK, OK, I know some of you are not going to let me go without an updated 7 Random Things About Me. So I'll just take some from my old post and add in a few new ones. Here goes...

1. I don't like to show my face online. I don't like to camwhore. I am a private person yet I love to share my personal thoughts with the world.

2. I don't like people who are too opinion-minded. To me, there is no such thing as right or wrong. What you think is right may be wrong to others and vice versa. Everything is open to interpretation.

3. I usually cannot win a fight. The reason is I can see the other person's viewpoints too easily and although I do not agree with him or her, I accept his or her viewpoints. Because like I mentioned in No.2, there is no such thing as right or wrong. This is probably one of my biggest weaknesses.

4. I don't wear a watch. I rely on my iPhone for the time. That is why I am really lost when my iPhone runs out of battery!

5. I love to play the piano and can play for hours. My longest record is 8 hours straight on the piano with toilet breaks in between.

6. I love to tweet. I don't really know why. I just think it's fun! I used to sms a lot last time. No longer. Tweeting has replaced sms-ing. And with my iPhone, I can tweet on the go!

7. I like cloudy and rainy weather. I know most people prefer blue skies and sunny weather, but not me. I am happiest when it rains!

My Very First Blog

This is my very first blog. I have never blogged in my life before this. In fact, I was clueless about blogs then.

It all started last year when I learnt that a lot of politicians write blogs. I started reading some of the blogs. Besides blogs by politicians, I also read other types of blogs, mainly foodie blogs and personal blogs. Before long, I was hooked. I thought, why not start one myself?

I wanted to blog about anything that interest me. Nothing specific really. I just wanted to share my thoughts with anyone who is interested. And that's how My Very First Blog was born.

Even though the topics in my blog can range from feng shui to psychology to self help to grooming and to finance, I really have the most passion in things that have to do with music, books, health and the unexplained.

How Do You Sleep At Night?

Sleep! That's my favourite past time. In fact, I love sleeping so much it is listed in my top 5 things I enjoy doing! Don't ask me what's the other 4. Hehe.

Nowadays, people are just not getting enough sleep! I know because I'm one of them! But I think I better do something about it cos I learnt that lack of sleep is really bad for health.

In fact, not having enough sleep will make you vulnerable to the following:

1. Weight gain
You read that right. People who sleep less than 6 hours a day have changes in their hormones that will enhance their appetites and resulting in weight gain. Don't believe? Read the report here.

2. Diabetes
Sleeping too little on a daily basis will lead to onset of Type 2 Diabetes. It seems that if you deprive yourself of enough good quality sleep for a week, your insulin and blood sugar level will mimic those of a diabetic patient. You can read more here and here.

3. Heart Diseases
Lack of sleep will lead to heart blockage and even palpitations of the heart. It appears that too little sleep promotes build-up of calcium in the heart arteries leading to formation of plaques that causes blockage and heart attacks. To know more, read this report.

4. Aging
During our sleep, our body produces growth hormones that prevents aging. If you sleep too little, your body will not produce enough of these growth hormones. Coupled with changes of other hormones due to lack of sleep, you will end up aging faster than normal. Read here if you wish to stay young!

5. Cancer
Believe it or not, cancer cells are present in our body at all times. When you are healthy, your immune system keep these cancer cells in check, preventing them from multiplying and taking over control of your body. Our immune system is strongest during sleep, so imagine if you sleep very little. Our body will not be able to produce enough natural killer cells to kill those cancer cells, giving the cancer cells a chance to multiply and become stronger. How do you sleep at night?

Is your sleep affected by the national angst? Do you drop off easily, as you always did? Or does it take a while to get to sleep?

No, my sleep is not affected by the national angst, whatever that is! If it refers to the current economic situation or the political situation in the country, I do get troubled by it but luckily, it does not disturb my sleep! I sleep very easily, and can even drop off in the middle of a conversation! I even nodded off at traffic lights before until the car behind started honking! Haha!

What strategies, if needed, do you use to get to sleep?

Pills? Sheep? Late night television show? And/or…?

I don't need any strategies to get to sleep since I have no sleeping problems. But I heard that sex helps. So maybe you want to try that out! If you don't have a partner, masturbation helps too! For imsomniacs, you may want to check out my 20 ways to get to sleep.

What strategies do you have to get back to sleep?

Since I don't wake up in the middle of my sleep to go to pee, I don't have a strategy for getting back to sleep. Wake up your partner for more sex or if your partner treasures his or her sleep, you are better off resorting to self masturbation. Haha!

Are your dreams affected?

Are they more anxious than before? Do they wake you up in a sweat? Or are they peaceful, innocent, undisturbed by the general malaise?

Dreams? Sometimes I have scary dreams which wake me up in the middle of the night, but I immediately go back to sleep and the dream actually continues from where it stops! Sometimes, there will be part 3 and part 4 too and I experience a whole mini-series in one night of sleep!

At other times, I dream a lot about food, probably because before I sleep, I read too many food blogs! Haha! Strangely, during those dreams I could never get to taste the food no matter how I tried! Each time when I was about to reach the food with my hands, I woke up! Now, any dream experts out there can teach me how to have lucid dreams, so I can control what I'm dreaming about? : )

I have said this once and I will say it again. I am not a big fan of tags and memes. In fact, I am NOT a fan at all, not even a bit.

But don't get me wrong. I don't HATE tags and memes. I just don't like them. There's a big gap between "hate" and "don't like", so just you know.

So what do I do when I get tagged by other bloggers? I thank them, that's what I do. No, I am not being sarcastic. As much as I don't like tags, I thank them from the bottom of my heart, because they remember me enough to want to tag me. I have a confession to make - I am not a big fan of tags and memes.

But I have received 5 awards for the past two months and have been tagged by quite a number of people I'm feeling a little guilty not responding to them.

Actually, I'm pretty lazy to tag others. However, this does not mean I don't appreciate all those awards I received. In fact, I would like to apologise to all those who had tagged me and sent me the awards for responding this late!

1. I can play the piano quite well and I can play for hours and hours!

2. I am a huge fan of Mariah Carey.

3. I prefer to sms rather than call someone.

4. I am a night owl. I sleep late and don't like to wake up early.

6. I don't smoke.

7. I enjoy watching "The Amazing Race" reality show.

1. I like all kinds of music except heavy metal. You can almost say I'm eclectic.

2. I like to exercise and enjoy the muscle soreness after that. In fact, the muscle soreness is what keeps me motivated.

4. I always get up on the left side of my bed, never the right side.

5. I don't like to wear a watch so I don't wear one. I refer to my handphone, which is always with me, for the time.
